2011 Summer Beach Tournament
When: Sunday, July 17th. Tournament starts at 9am, captain's meeting at 8:45am. Where: Alki Beach, West Seattle Why: To have fun and to raise money for the Moyer Foundation. This is the 8th annual tournament. How much: Registration is $100 per team before the day of the tournament, $140 on the day of the tournament. Checks should be made out to the Moyer Foundation. Format: Beach volleyball coed 4's. Morning is pool play followed by single elimination in the afternoon. Depending on the number of teams, the afternoon may be split into upper and lower divisions. Prizes: All teams will receive 4 event t-shirts for team members. Prizes will be awarded to tournament winners. Sponsorship and Donations: We are accepting sponsors up through 7/10 (deadline to have logo printed on the event shirt). If anyone wants to sponsor or donate, please contact info@jetcitysports.com. About the Moyer Foundation: 11 years of helping children in distress The Moyer Foundation - a public, 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization headquartered in Seattle, WA, was founded in 2000 by World Series champion, Major League All-Star pitcher, Jamie Moyer and his wife, Karen. The Foundation's mission is to provide comfort and support to children enduring a time of profound physical, emotional or financial distress.
