OUTDOOR RULES:
Grace time for game forfeiture is 10 minutes for the first game, ten additional minutes for the second game; after 25 minutes the match is forfeited.
Three games, rally score to 25, cap at 27.
Teams call their own lines, nets and fouls. Please call bad sets. Replay any calls not agreed upon by both teams.
If time runs out before the third game is complete, the team scoring the most points over 8 will receive the win. (If neither team scores 8 points, the third game will NOT count.)
Can have 2 guys maximum. Must have at least 3 people to play.
Let serves are good. Only one toss allowed per service.
The courts are not equipped with antennas. The poles will serve as antennas. In the event that a ball hits the portion of the net's dowel which extends above the net, teams should replay the point.
The block does NOT count as a touch. A team has 3 more contacts of the ball following a block.
No open-hand dinks.
Can double/set a hard driven ball.
A Division: A "hard driven ball" is defined as an attack which does not have an upward trajectory at any time.
B Division: All attacks will be considered "hard driven balls".
Cannot double/set the serve. Must have hands together if taking a serve-receive at eye level or above.
Set-overs are not good unless person is square and the ball does not spin. If you are hand setting your teammate and the ball drifts over, it is the other team’s point.
