ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Winter Leagues:
Leagues will start early January. Please note that Tuesday night's league is now filled. There are still limited openings in the leagues on Sunday and Wednesday.
The post mark date for registrations to be considered in the first group is December 7th. So, any registration post marked today up to December 7th will be considered in the "first group". As with the last few season there are NO Penalties for sending in the registration before December 7th.
There will be games January 17th and February 14th. There will be no games February 7th, (Super Bowl Sunday) .
Winter Class:
Jet City Sports will be offering an adult intermediate volleyball class this winter. The eight classes will begin on February 23rd, 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at Ingraham High School, in Seattle. Cost is $65 per person.
Improve your skills for volleyball in a fun and friendly environment. Students will practice the fundamental skills so they can play for leisure or competitively. Basic strategies and mechanics are taught in bumping, serving, serve receive, setting, hitting, and blocking.
Format: review mechanics of skills and apply in class drills, occasional friendly competition, and time for team play. This class is designed to be fun and active while meeting others interested in playing volleyball.
The instructor, Herman Chin, formerly from AVE, is enthusiastic and experienced with over 20 years of teaching beginning, intermediate, and advance volleyball. He has had formal training from such organization as USAV Volleyball, and instructions from Bill Neville, US Men’s 1984 Gold Medal Olympic coach and former UW Huskies coach.
